Frequently asked questions
The short answers. For the full picture, see the documentation — or ask the support assistant.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — Free is $0, forever, not a trial. It includes up to 50 bookings a month, 1 team member, up to 3 services, and both ways of taking bookings from your website (booking page link and popup). When you outgrow it — a second team member, more services, more bookings — the paid plans start at $9/month.
How many bookings can I take each month?
Every plan includes a monthly bookings allowance — Free 50, Basic 300, Starter 750, Pro 2,500, Growth 5,000 and Business 12,000 — and there is never a per-booking fee or an overage charge. Allowances count bookings created in the calendar month and reset on the 1st. If you reach yours, your booking page pauses new bookings with a friendly note for customers until the month turns or you upgrade; the Billing page always shows how much of the month you have used.
How is Zivaro priced compared to per-seat tools?
Most scheduling tools charge per person: every team member who takes bookings needs their own paid seat, so a growing team's bill grows with every hire. Zivaro is one flat price per business with the whole team included — a 12-person team pays $49/month flat on Pro, with a generous monthly bookings allowance included rather than a per-booking tax.
How do I add booking to my website?
Two ways, both in Dashboard → Booking Page → “Add booking to your website”. Either add a button that links to your booking page (you set its text and color), or paste a small snippet that opens booking in a popup over your site, so visitors never leave the page. No developer needed — copy, paste, done.
Can I use my own logo and colors?
Yes, on Pro ($49/month), Growth ($79/month) and Business ($149/month): upload your logo in Settings → Business details, choose an accent color and button style under Dashboard → Booking Page, and the “Powered by Zivaro” line disappears. On Free, Basic and Starter the booking page keeps the clean standard look with a small “Powered by Zivaro” note.
How do payments work?
Subscribe from the Billing page in your dashboard. Checkout runs on Stripe's secure payment page — Zivaro never sees or stores your card number. Your plan upgrades the moment the payment succeeds, and receipts and invoices live in the Stripe customer portal, one click from the same Billing page (“Manage subscription”).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Dashboard → Billing → “Manage subscription” opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel in a couple of clicks. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that the account returns to Free. Your bookings, customers and settings are kept — nothing is deleted.
What happens if a payment fails?
Stripe retries the card automatically over the following days, and your plan stays active while the payment is past due — a declined card doesn't switch your booking page off mid-week. Update your card from Billing → “Manage subscription”. Only if the subscription is cancelled or ends unpaid does the account return to Free.
Which days show as available to customers?
On your booking page calendar, a day with a light circle still has at least one free slot for the service and team member the customer picked. Fully booked days, your days off, and past days show no circle and can't be selected. The circles are calculated from your real opening hours, staff hours, time off and existing bookings — so a circled day always has actual times behind it.
Do customers need an account to book?
No. Your booking page works for anyone with the link: pick a service, a team member, a day and a time, leave a name, email and phone, and confirm. No sign-up, no password, no app to install — it runs in the phone browser.
Do you send confirmation emails and reminders?
Yes — booking emails are live. The moment a customer books, they get a confirmation email with a calendar invite (.ics) attached, so the appointment lands in their own calendar, and they also see the confirmation on screen. One hour before the appointment they get a reminder email. Confirmations, reminders, cancellation and reschedule emails and review requests all draw from one monthly email pool per plan — Free 100 a month up to Business 20,000 — and non-essential messages (reminders, review requests) simply pause when the pool is used up; a confirmation for an accepted booking always goes out. If an appointment is cancelled from the dashboard, the customer gets a cancellation email, and you get an email for every new booking.
The confirmation and reminder emails also carry a “Manage booking” link: from it, the customer can move the appointment to another free time, or cancel it, any time before it starts — no account needed. Both sides get an email about every change, and a move includes a fresh calendar invite for the new time.
Reminder texts (SMS) are live too: on plans with an SMS allowance, the customer also gets a text message 1 hour before the appointment, sent to the phone number they left when booking — Starter includes 20 SMS a month, Pro 50, Growth 100 and Business 200; Free and Basic have no included SMS. WhatsApp reminders are the part still to come: they are included in every paid plan's allowances but are not sending yet.
Can I send SMS from my own provider?
Yes — on any paid plan (Basic, Starter, Pro, Growth or Business), you can choose in Settings → SMS reminders between the SMS included in your plan and your own provider account. With your own account, reminder texts are sent by your provider at your provider's rates, and your plan's SMS allowance doesn't apply — there is no Zivaro limit on that route.
Twilio is supported today: you paste your Account SID, Auth Token and a sender number (or Messaging Service SID), we encrypt the credentials, and the provider only goes live after a test text to your own phone succeeds. Vonage, Telnyx and MessageBird are shown in the picker as coming soon. The Free plan can't connect a provider.
